Our History

Ed Seeley and son-in-law, Bill Arnill, formed a partnership in Dundalk Ontario in 1946 to become local road builders and bridge contractors throughout the province of Ontario. The company originally saw a niche and focused its efforts to building new roads in Northern Ontario. In 1971 Seeley & Arnill expanded its operations and bought property in Durham, Ontario to became aggregate suppliers and asphalt contractors. Today we service the Collingwood, Grey and Simcoe County regions.

Seventy plus years of road building has given our family owned company a rich history of past experience and strong relationships with our suppliers / sub-contractors and a keen insight into the future needs of our customer. We have been part of the building of granular roads, the manufacturing and spraying of asphalt liquids, cold mix asphalts, highway construction and grading, subdivision and utility contracting, land development, hot mix asphalt facilities, the licensing and operation of numerous aggregate reserves and the recycling of mature highways.

Fourth generation family-owned

Our company has changed with the needs of the agencies that own the roads, so that we may provide cost effective solutions that provide smooth, safe roads for the traveling public. We promise to continue introducing new concepts and new technologies with an emphasis on safety. Today the Arnill Group of Companies is operated by all four; fourth generation Arnill brothers in Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta, Canada with our Father Paul still involved.
